Why Shop Local?

Quality Assurance: Local growers understand Vermont’s climate and soil conditions, ensuring their plants are well-adapted and robust.

Pest Management: Shopping locally helps mitigate the spread of invasive species and pests, as locally grown plants are less likely to introduce harmful, non-native species that can disrupt the local ecosystem.

Sustainability: Supporting local farms reduces your carbon footprint by minimizing transportation and keeps dollars in the local community.

Community Connection: Local nurseries and farms often offer workshops, advice, and services that foster relationships and grow your expertise.
